Nate Piekos is one of the most prolific letterers working in American comics today, best known as the founder and driving force behind Blambot, an online type foundry he established under that name as both a business and a working pseudonym. Born in 1975, Piekos built Blambot into an indispensable resource for comic book lettering, developing typefaces tailored specifically to the demands of sequential art in both print and digital formats.

Over a career spanning more than two decades — with credits running from roughly 2000 through the mid-2020s across nearly 500 issues — Piekos has contributed lettering and design to publishers including Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, and Oni Press. His most frequently credited titles include *Green Arrow*, *I Hate Fairyland*, *ElfQuest: The Final Quest*, *Fight Club 2*, and *Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four*, a range that reflects the breadth of his taste and adaptability across genres.

Beyond comics, Blambot's typeface licenses have found their way into video games, films, advertising campaigns, and product packaging for clients as varied as Microsoft, Cartoon Network, Universal Pictures, Penguin Random House, and the *New Yorker*. Piekos has also produced custom logo and lettering work throughout his career. His influence on how comics text looks and reads has been considerable, quietly shaping the visual language of the medium for readers who may never think to notice the lettering at all.
