Green Arrow #1
This volume kicks off the Rebirth era for the Emerald Archer, collecting Green Arrow #1-5 (2017) as Oliver Queen returns to Seattle to reclaim his city from a shadowy conspiracy. Writer Benjamin Percy and artist Otto Schmidt deliver a street-level, politically charged adventure that re-establishes Oliver's mission as a populist hero, while introducing a new supporting cast and a mysterious threat tied to his past.
"Rebirth" kicks off a bold new chapter for Green Arrow, as Oliver Queen—stripped of everything and presumed dead—returns with a vengeance, breaking into Queen Industries to uncover the truth behind his downfall. With the Ninth Circle pulling strings and old allies like Broderick, Shado, and the enigmatic Burned now working against him, Oliver’s quest for answers takes a dark turn. Meanwhile, Diggle and Black Canary race to piece together the conspiracy, unaware that Emi may have crossed a line they never expected. Written by Benjamin Percy and brought to life with gritty precision by Juan Ferreyra—whose dynamic art and bold colors define the issue’s tone—this is a sharp, grounded start to a story where loyalty is tested and the past refuses to stay buried. The cover by Juan Ferreyra captures the moment’s tension with striking intensity.
