Fear Itself: Fearsome Four #2

The second chapter of this 2011 Marvel limited series ties into the Fear Itself event with a cover by Michael Wm. Kaluta that wastes no time making an impression — a massive, tentacled creature with glowing eyes tears through a city street while She-Hulk, a red-winged figure, a Fantastic Four–uniformed hero, and Howard the Duck scramble into the fray around it. The unlikely team suggested by the title "Stranger Bedfellows" is very much on display here, with the mismatched quartet's chaotic energy practically leaping off the page. With Brandon Montclare writing and a rotating artistic team including Simon Bisley and Ryan Bodenheim bringing the interior to life, this quirky corner of the Fear Itself universe has plenty of personality to spare.
