I Hate Fairyland #15

Something has clearly shifted in Fairyland — the title itself has "HATE" crossed out and replaced with "LOVE," and the cover radiates that tension beautifully. Gert, green-haired and grinning wide, throws her arms open beneath a burst of rainbows while an eclectic crowd of cute-but-toothy Fairyland creatures — teddy bears, snails, turtles, monsters, and a suspicious-looking unicorn — surges around her with hearts floating through the air. Skottie Young's art, colored brilliantly by Jean-François Beaulieu, captures the series' signature blend of saccharine sweetness and barely-contained chaos in one irresistible image.
