D'Orc #2

The tagline says it all — "Half Dwarf, Half Orc, All…" something wonderfully chaotic — and Brett Bean's cover for this second issue delivers on that promise with grinning, wide-eyed energy. A looming, horned dark figure in a sweeping cloak towers menacingly above our scrappy little half-orc hero, who scrambles forward clutching a glowing blue spirit creature and what appears to be a startled chicken. Jean-François Beaulieu's colors give the whole scene a vivid, slightly ominous glow that perfectly balances the humor and genuine tension Bean has packed into every corner of this Image Comics adventure.
