I Hate Fairyland #2

Skottie Young's gleefully unhinged series continues with issue #2, and the cover makes the tone unmistakably clear: green-pigtailed Gertrude is gleefully swinging a massive, blood-soaked battle axe straight into a mob of snarling blue monsters, while her tiny companion opens fire with a gun nearby. Jean-Francois Beaulieu's colors give the whole mayhem-drenched scene a candy-bright pop that makes the absurd gore somehow even funnier. If you've been looking for a fantasy comic that cheerfully throws the rulebook out the window, this one earns its title.
