Black Widow #1
Marjorie Liu and Daniel Acuña launch Natasha Romanoff's 2010 solo series with a cover that frames her front and center in her signature black suit, fists raised and ready, while Iron Man and Wolverine loom large in the background alongside Soviet imagery — marching soldiers, a hammer-and-sickle flag, and the unmistakable silhouette of Saint Basil's Cathedral. Acuña's bold, painterly style bathes the whole composition in a striking crimson, immediately conveying a story steeped in Cold War shadows and high-powered Marvel allies. It's a strong, confident opening statement for one of Marvel's most compelling espionage figures.
