Skottie Young's delightfully unhinged series rolls into its ninth issue with a cover that perfectly captures its anarchic spirit — Gertrude, green-haired and wide-eyed, swings an enormous slime-drenched axe with reckless abandon while green goo explodes in all directions around her tiny frame. It's a wonderfully chaotic image that balances Young's signature cute-yet-menacing art style with Jean-François Beaulieu's vivid, saturated colors.
