Ain't No Grave #1

From Image Comics in 2024, Ain't No Grave #1 opens Skottie Young and Jorge Corona's new western with a cover that sets an immediately haunting tone. Corona's art assembles a looming armored gunslinger in a wide-brimmed hat and red scarf — guns at the ready — flanked by a scythe-wielding figure and a pistol-toting companion, all towering over a solitary man and child standing before a blood-red horizon of bare, grasping trees and distant gravestones. Jean-François Beaulieu's deep crimson palette and Corona's intricate linework make this opening chapter, "Denial," feel like a ghost-western with real weight behind it.
