This collection brings together the full run of the 2009 miniseries, assembling Marvel's animal heroes—including Lockjaw, Lockheed, Redwing, Zabu, Ms. Lion, Hairball, Throg, and their human ally Simon Walterson—for a lighthearted, all-ages adventure. The team forms when Lockjaw, the Inhumans' giant teleporting bulldog, is tasked with gathering a squad of super-powered pets and creatures to retrieve the Infinity Gems, leading to a whimsical quest across the Marvel Universe.

In "The Infinity Gems," Lockjaw stumbles upon the Mind Gem and races to Earth after a scolding from Medusa, setting off a chain of events that brings together an unlikely team of heroic pets. With Throg—the frog-powered Thor—leading the charge, Lockjaw teams up with Lockheed the dragon, Redwing the falcon, Hairball the cat, and Ms. Lion, Aunt May’s dog, on a quest to find the remaining Infinity Gems. Their journey takes them to the Savage Land, where danger lurks in the form of a dinosaur waiting to ambush them. Written by Chris Eliopoulos and illustrated by Ig Guara and Colleen Coover, with covers by Karl Kerschl, this 2009 Marvel adventure blends whimsy and wonder in a story where the smallest heroes might just hold the greatest power.
