Angel and the X-Men have rescued crime boss, Unus, and killed his would-be assassin, police detective Peter Magnus, in the process. Captain Magnus, itching for revenge for the death of his son, starts an all out manhunt for the X-Men. Catching up with them at Welfare Penitentiary, guns blaze as the police have it out with Xavier's charges. Once the lead stops flying, Tom tells Anne-Marie that he knows the secret of the brutal murder of Jean Grey and then reveals a profound secret of his own. As the only X-Men left alive, Angel and Cyclops sail off into the sunset with sea captain, Logan.
