I Hate Fairyland #7
Fairyland's pastel skies have never looked so ominously cheerful — issue #7 finds the tiny, crown-wearing Gertrude surrounded by a crowd of very large, very toothy dragons in shades of red, purple, and green, all gathered on a grassy hill beside a ramshackle outhouse. Skottie Young's cover art perfectly captures the series' signature contrast of sugar-sweet visuals and gleeful menace, with Jean-François Beaulieu's cotton-candy colors making the whole absurd standoff feel like a storybook gone wonderfully sideways. If you've been following this Image series, this cover alone makes a compelling case for picking up the next chapter.
