Madman Atomic Comics #4

Issue four of Madman Atomic Comics finds the beloved blue-suited hero in a decidedly unsettling setting — scrambling through the gnarled, purple-hued branches of a twisted, face-bearing tree beneath a pale full moon, while a dark-haired figure clambers through the upper boughs behind him. Michael Allred's cover linework captures Madman in a state of wild-eyed, open-mouthed urgency, the eerie forest alive with faces lurking in the bark. Laura Allred's moody palette of deep blues and bruised purples gives the whole scene a dreamy, slightly sinister atmosphere that fits the "Spaced & Lost" story title perfectly.
