Father's Day #3

Five suited men stride forward in tight formation against a blazing orange-and-red backdrop dotted with purple skulls — the lead figure levels a pistol directly at the viewer while his four flanking companions brandish an assortment of firearms and weapons. The skull-patterned wallpaper design echoed in the title's decorative necktie logo gives this Dark Horse thriller a darkly playful edge that's hard to shake. With Gabriel Guzmán's sharp linework and Java Tartaglia's fiery colors driving the tension, issue three of four feels like a series hitting its stride.
