Spinning out of the pages of The Goon, this 2010 Dark Horse miniseries puts the spotlight on Buzzard in a haunting opener from Eric Powell. The cover sets an immediate mood: a skeletal, cloaked figure astride a ghastly pale horse — its skull-like head bowed and its body half-decayed — emerges from a swirl of dusty mist, a rifle slung across the rider's back. A corner medallion teases the backup feature, Billy the Kid's Old Timey Oddities, with a sharp-dressed, pistol-toting figure wreathed in smoke, promising plenty of weird Western flavor across this first of three issues.
