Angel Catbird #1 (2016) introduces a wild, stylish sci-fi mystery from Margaret Atwood and Johnnie Christmas, blending surreal body horror with sharp wit. When scientist Strig Feleedus is transformed into a catbird hybrid after a car accident, he discovers a hidden world of half-cat humans in the city—and uncovers a sinister plot by the rat-like Dr. Muroid to weaponize the serum. With bold art by Johnnie Christmas and vibrant colors by Tamra Bonvillain, the cover by Christmas sets the tone for a story that’s equal parts quirky and urgent.
