This Spanish-language serial installment opens with Jim Texas and his companions resting at his Texas ranch following dangerous events in the "Esperanza" mine. Jim negotiates Stella's sale of her inherited mine for $500,000 and discusses her future residence on his estate. The narrative then shifts to Jim examining documents recovered from the villain Zenker's hotel, which contain evidence of financial crimes by the Spack family. Among these papers, Jim discovers a letter from a woman named Daphne Rutherford describing how Zenker seduced and ruined her, fathered her child, and abandoned them both to poverty. Jim responds by sending Daphne one thousand dollars via his employee Brand, offering her refuge at his hacienda and requesting information about Zenker. The episode concludes with Jim's conversation with Stella about his continuing pursuit of justice against Zenker and Vera, whom he believes remain alive and dangerous.
