Lovern Kindzierski is a Canadian comics professional born in 1954, best known as a colorist whose career spans from 1987 to at least 2023 — an impressive run of more than three decades and over 530 credited issues across coloring, inking, lettering, and writing work.

Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kindzierski became a central figure at Digital Chameleon, the Winnipeg studio widely credited with being the first to bring Adobe Photoshop into widespread use in the comics industry. That shift fundamentally changed how color was applied to the printed page, and Kindzierski was positioned at the heart of it. Digital Chameleon served an ambitious roster of publishers including DC/Vertigo, Marvel, Dark Horse, Image, Malibu, and First, while also taking on animation, poster, and advertising work.

Among his most prominent title credits are Doctor Fate, Animal Man, L.E.G.I.O.N. '91, Raven: Daughter of Darkness, The Victorian, and Wasteland — a mix of superhero and genre work that reflects how broadly he applied his craft. His contributions to Animal Man in particular placed him alongside one of the more artistically adventurous runs in mainstream comics of that era.

Kindzierski's legacy rests substantially on his role in modernizing comics coloring at a pivotal technological moment, helping to establish a Canadian studio as an industry innovator.
