L.E.G.I.O.N. '90 #18

Three L.E.G.I.O.N. operatives — a black-suited figure, an armored central hero, and a third companion — stand defiantly in the foreground while a grinning, orange-clad antagonist looms enormously over them against a backdrop of gleaming spacecraft and high-tech corridors. The tension between the determined heroes below and the triumphant villain above gives Kevin Maguire and Al Gordon's cover a terrific sense of dramatic scale that was right at home in DC's 1990 sci-fi lineup. Alan Grant and Barry Kitson's "From the Jaws of Victory..." promises exactly the kind of tightly wound space-opera stakes this series delivered so well.
