Reign of the Zodiac #1

Oct 2003 · DC · 2.75 USD; 4.60 CAD

Reign of the Zodiac #1 (2003) kicks off with Garn Ch’ar Taru, heir to House Aries, on the road to an arranged marriage, when he’s drawn into a haunting tale of ancient cosmic connection. Written by Keith Giffen and illustrated by Colleen Doran, with inks by Bob Wiacek and colors by Lovern Kindzierski, the story unfolds through a mythic recollection of when Eidolon’s world once linked to another—until a cataclysmic rift shattered that bond, leaving the twelve houses of Eidolon isolated and inward-focused. Tony Harris’s striking cover captures the mystery of that lost connection.

On his way to an arranged marriage with House Aries, Virgan scion Garn Ch’ar Taru is told the story of a time long ago when the world of Eidolon was joined to another world via a magical portal. Discontent on the other world led to the destruction of Meridian and the abandonment of any further portal use, causing the twelve houses of Eidolon to turn in on themselves.
