Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #42

Batman looms at the center of this striking 1993 cover by P. Craig Russell, his cape spread wide like enormous bat wings against a luminous circular glow, while dense tangles of lush green foliage press in from all sides — and thin red drips trace an unsettling path down through the leaves. "Hothouse Part One" promises something organic and eerie, with writer John Francis Moore joining Russell for what looks to be a story where Gotham's natural world feels anything but safe.
