Raven: Daughter of Darkness #5

Issue five of this 12-part mini-series finds Raven center stage, wings spread wide and both hands crackling with swirling soul-energy, as a ring of heavily armed soldiers closes in from below — yet towering over everything is an enormous shadowy demon with glowing red eyes looming in the darkness behind her. The tagline "The Hunters and the Prey!" sets the tension perfectly, with Raven looking outnumbered but far from outmatched. Marv Wolfman and Pop Mhan keep the momentum going, with Emanuela Lupacchino's cover art delivering a genuinely striking image of a young hero who refuses to be cornered.
