The Worst Dudes #1

Dark Horse's 2021 series opener announces itself with gleeful, unapologetic attitude — and that cover warning about "odious language, wanton drug use, willful violence, unabashed lechery, and generally loathsome behavior" leaves little to the imagination. Tony Gregori's cover depicts a chaotic three-way brawl set against a star-flecked space backdrop: a robed, torch-wielding sorcerer and an armored, gun-toting soldier grapple with a massive, snarling pink beast that looks ready to swallow them both whole. Writer Aubrey Sitterson and artist Tony Gregori, with colors by Lovern Kindzierski, are clearly having a fantastic time crafting something rowdy, irreverent, and thoroughly entertaining.
