Groo vs. Conan #4
The four-issue crossover extravaganza reaches its finale with a cover that says it all: a muscular, sword-raised Conan grabs the scruff of the cheerfully oblivious Groo while an impossibly dense crowd of soldiers — armed to the teeth with swords, spears, and shields — press in from every direction beneath a blazing red sun. Penciled and inked by both Sergio Aragonés and Thomas Yeates, the image perfectly captures the collision of two wildly different sword-and-sorcery worlds — one epic and gritty, the other gleefully chaotic. If you've been following this unlikely Dark Horse matchup, this 2014 concluding chapter is the payoff you've been waiting for.

Olam’s tyrannical reign begins. A third non-rumor-mongering peasant refutes both of the rumor-mongering peasants from Issues 2 and 3, telling a gathering at the inn that the great battle between Conan and Groo is still in progress, with neither combatant slain. The fray to end all frays, between Conan and Groo comes to an end. The comic shop and bakery are saved. Conan returns to reclaim his throne. Groo just wanders-off in the direction of some fresh and tasty meats. Sergio recovers from his “Conan delusion”, instead taking a fancy to Tarzan comics to set up the next such crossover series.
