Animal Man #3
This volume concludes the Rotworld crossover from DC's New 52 era, collecting Animal Man #13-16 and Swamp Thing #13-16. Written by Jeff Lemire and Scott Snyder, the story pits Buddy Baker and his allies against the Rot's ultimate invasion, culminating in a desperate battle to save the Red Kingdom and restore balance to the world's elemental forces.
In "Rotworld: Prologue, Part One," Animal Man confronts the lingering horror of a twisted reality, only to be thrust back in time to prevent its creation. With Jeff Lemire’s sharp storytelling and Steve Pugh’s haunting art—enhanced by Lovern Kindzierski’s colors and Jared K. Fletcher’s lettering—Buddy’s desperate race to save his family unfolds in chilling, intimate detail. The cover by Steve Pugh and Yanick Paquette captures the moment’s weight, setting the stage for a story that redefines sacrifice.
