Lobo: Infanticide #1

Lobo towers menacingly over a diaper-clad baby on this cover for the first chapter of the four-part Infanticide miniseries — the Main Man's snarl and the speech bubble demanding "SAY YER PWAYERS, CWEEP!" setting a perfectly absurd, darkly comedic tone. Keith Giffen both writes and draws this 1992 DC mature-readers series, joined by co-writer Alan Grant, and the cover's collision of ultra-violence and infant imagery promises exactly the kind of gleefully over-the-top mayhem Lobo fans were craving. A strong starting point for one of the character's most memorably twisted storylines of the era.
