Hellblazer #12
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeHellblazer #12 closes out 1988 with a cover by Dave McKean that makes an immediate, unsettling impression: a pale figure — bound and tilted back in an almost trance-like state — is framed within a large inverted pentagram, while two grotesque, blood-streaked figures loom from the shadows on either side. Colored wires snake through the composition, adding a strange, almost ritualistic tension to the scene. With Jamie Delano writing and Richard Piers Rayner and Mark Buckingham handling interior art, this "Suggested for Mature Readers" issue of John Constantine's solo series carries all the occult dread the title had already made its signature by this point in its run.
