Hellblazer #19
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDave McKean's painted cover for this June 1989 issue captures a haunted, semi-transparent John Constantine looming large in the foreground, his trench coat and gaunt features rendered in moody ochres and browns as ghostly green smoke curls around him. Scrawled across the image like desperate graffiti, the words "I'm a broken man — I want your money" echo the story's subtitle, while two shadowy figures linger ominously in the smoldering background. Writer Jamie Delano and artists Mark Buckingham and Alfredo Alcala continue "The Fear Machine" saga with this sixth installment, and McKean's unsettling cover sets a fittingly bleak tone.
