Hellblazer #[1]
This volume collects the earliest issues of John Constantine's solo series, originally published under DC's Vertigo imprint, written by Jamie Delano. It follows the cynical streetwise magician as he navigates a grim supernatural underworld, blending horror and political commentary in 1980s London. This is the first of three volumes in ECC Ediciones' collection of Delano's foundational run on the character.
In Hellblazer #1 (2016), John Constantine returns to England only to learn that his old friend Gary Lester has unwittingly unleashed the demon Mnemoth in New York, devouring people and spreading chaos. With Gary and the enigmatic Papa Midnite, Constantine must race to contain the infernal threat before it consumes the city—before it’s too late. Written by Jamie Delano and Fernando Refoyo Romero, with art by John Ridgway and colors by Lovern Kindzierski, the issue’s haunting tone is matched by Dave McKean’s striking cover.
