Animal Man Annual #1

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, this 2012 annual brings Swamp Thing into Buddy Baker's world as the cover — penciled and inked by Travel Foreman — plunges both heroes into a nightmarish gauntlet. Animal Man fights through a swarm of grotesque, decaying creatures while Swamp Thing looms powerfully behind him, the two surrounded on all sides by rot-riddled horrors with glowing eyes. With Jeff Lemire writing, Timothy Green II on interior art, and the story titled "Endless Rot," this oversized issue promises a dark and visceral crossover between two of the New 52's most compelling supernatural titles.
