Few holiday specials carry a content warning quite like this one — and Simon Bisley's cover makes good on every word of it, depicting a wild-haired, skull-adorned Lobo standing triumphant in the snow, a bloodied hook in hand, with a very battered Santa Claus crumpled at his feet. Keith Giffen and Alan Grant bring their gleefully irreverent sensibilities to "The Lobo Xmas Sanction," a story that was never going to end well for ol' Saint Nick.
