About this Collection
This volume collects the first nine issues of the original Hellblazer series, launching the solo adventures of occult con man John Constantine after his supporting role in Swamp Thing. Written by Jamie Delano with art by John Ridgway and others, these stories establish Constantine's gritty, street-level magic and his morally complex battles against both supernatural and human horrors in 1980s London. The collection includes the classic 'Hungry for You' and 'When Johnny Comes Marching Home' storylines, setting the tone for the character's long-running Vertigo series.
