Hellblazer #4

From its very first issues, Hellblazer established a mood unlike anything else on the 1988 DC landscape, and this fourth chapter is a striking example of why. Dave McKean's cover is quietly unsettling: a darkened, web-strewn room frames a silhouetted figure standing at a window, while a pale, ghostly face peers in from outside — small flowers and lace details on the floor adding an eerie domesticity to the scene. Jamie Delano and John Ridgway continue their collaboration on "Waiting for the Man," promising the kind of atmospheric, mature storytelling that made this series essential reading.
