Riley Rossmo

Riley Rossmo is a Canadian comic book artist and illustrator born in 1983, whose distinctive, expressionistic visual style has made him one of the more recognizable figures working across mainstream and independent comics over the past two decades.

Rossmo broke into the industry around 2006 and built his early reputation through Image Comics, where titles such as *Proof* and *Bedlam* showcased his loose, kinetic linework and a flair for the darkly surreal. That indie sensibility translated well when he moved into mainstream superhero publishing — his run on *Constantine: The Hellblazer* leaned into the occult unease the character demands, while his work on *Martian Manhunter* brought an otherworldly visual language to DC's alien detective. His tenure on *Harley Quinn* reached a wide readership, and the creator-owned *Deathbed* demonstrated his continued appetite for work with a stranger, more personal edge. He has also contributed to Marvel, including work on *Daken: Dark Wolverine*. Across more than 170 credited issues, Rossmo has worked as artist, colorist, inker, and occasionally writer, reflecting a versatility unusual even among prolific genre artists.

Beyond his publishing output, Rossmo has served as an instructor at the Alberta College of Art and Design, contributing directly to the next generation of Canadian illustrators.
