The stark contrast between the washed-out whites and the dark central panel gives the whole image an eerie, dreamlike weight that suits the "Lost Children" arc perfectly. Kurtis Wiebe and Rossmo's Green Wake remains one of the more atmospherically distinctive series Image published that year, and this eighth issue looks to deliver more of that moody, unsettling magic.
