Green Wake #6

Riley Rossmo's unsettling cover for Green Wake #6 sets a haunting tone for "Lost Children Pt. 1" — a lone figure in white stands eerily calm at the center of two massive, blood-streaked serpentine creatures that coil and lunge from the murky green darkness around him. Scattered silhouettes of frogs creep along the bottom of the image, adding a layer of quiet dread to the atmosphere that this 2011 Image series has made its signature. Kurtis Wiebe and Rossmo's collaboration clearly has no intention of easing up on the tension.
