Part four of "Night of the Monster Men" arrives in this DC Universe Rebirth chapter, and Yanick Paquette's cover makes an immediate impression: Batman surges forward with cape billowing and glowing red eyes, surrounded on all sides by snarling, shadowy creatures with jagged claws and fang-filled mouths lunging out of a blazing crimson sky. The sense of being completely overwhelmed — bat-signal silhouette looming above, twisted branches and eerie purple smoke swirling below — gives the whole image a genuinely unsettling atmosphere. With Steve Orlando and Tom King co-writing and Riley Rossmo and Ivan Plascencia bringing their distinctive style to the interiors, this is one of 2016's more visually striking chapters of the Rebirth era.
