Part of Marvel's 2015 Secret Wars Battleworld event, this second chapter of "Annihilation" delivers one of the more unsettling covers of the line — Riley Rossmo renders a massive, looming Red Skull face dominating nearly the entire image, his crimson visage dripping against a black void while a lone armored figure stands small and defiant at the base. The stark contrast between the towering villain and that solitary white-caped hero below him captures a sense of dread and impossible odds that Joshua Williamson, Luca Pizzari, and Rainier Beredo bring to life inside the pages.
