Matt Kindt

Matt Kindt was born on April 11, 1973, and has built a reputation as one of contemporary comics' most versatile creator-owned voices, working as a writer, cartoonist, and graphic designer. He cut his teeth on spy-themed stories, and the critical traction those early projects gained opened doors to work-for-hire assignments across superhero and genre fiction.

He is perhaps best recognized for MIND MGMT, his sprawling espionage series that showcased his ability to handle both the writing and visual sides of a project simultaneously. That same sensibility carried into his extensive contributions to Valiant Entertainment, where titles such as X-O Manowar, Ninjak, and Rai placed him at the center of that publisher's superhero universe during a productive stretch running through the mid-2010s. His creator-owned catalog also includes Dept. H and Grass Kings, each demonstrating a willingness to shift tone and subject matter while maintaining a distinctly personal artistic touch.

Among his co-creations, BRZRKR stands out commercially — its debut issue became the highest-selling single comic of the 21st century.
