Valiant's Unity assembles one of 2014's most compelling super-teams, with Doug Braithwaite's cover presenting four determined figures in the foreground — a scarred soldier, a shadowy ninja, a fiery-suited woman, and a composed man in a suit — while a glowing armored figure hovers powerfully above them all. Matt Kindt's "To Kill a King" storyline is already mid-stride by Chapter 2, promising the kind of tense team dynamics that come with forcing very different personalities toward a single dangerous goal. Brian Reber's colors give the whole composition a sleek, cinematic energy that makes this a standout volume from Valiant's ambitious 2014 lineup.
