Folklords #1
Folklords #1 introduces a haunting, dreamlike journey as Ansel, a young resident of a fairy-tale village, begins to see glimpses of the modern world—and believes its people are the elusive Folklords. Written by Matt Kindt and illustrated by Matt Smith, with colors by Chris O'Halloran and letters by Jim Campbell, the story follows Ansel and his friend Archer as they defy the Guild of Librarians, who forbid all quests and declare Folklord-seeking a death sentence. With help from a shadowy Librarian, the two slip away under cover of night, stepping into a mystery that blurs myth and reality. The cover, by Matt Smith, captures the story’s eerie, otherworldly tone.
