Hairball #2

The second issue of Dark Horse and Flux House's Hairball arrives with a cover that immediately stops you cold — a close-up watercolor portrait of a grey kitten, its amber eyes wide and its mouth open, with a small but unmistakable smear of blood near its chin. Tyler Jenkins and Hilary Jenkins render the image with a deceptively soft, painterly delicacy that makes that ominous detail land all the harder. Matt Kindt rounds out the creative team, and together they've crafted a series that clearly isn't afraid to hide its teeth beneath all that adorable fluff.
