Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E. #14

Part of DC's 2013 "Rotworld: Secrets of the Dead" crossover, this issue drops Frankenstein and his monstrous S.H.A.D.E. teammates into a harrowing battle against a massive, decayed Rot creature — its enormous jaws stretched wide as the team clashes with it against a backdrop of twisted red girders. A winged figure swoops in from above while a sword-wielding fighter and a hulking green companion engage at close range, making for a cover that crackles with frantic, multi-front action. Alberto Ponticelli and Wayne Faucher bring real ferocity to the composition, and the tagline "Secret Weapon Against the Rot!" promises Matt Kindt's story has some surprises in store.
