Inhumanity: The Awakening #2

Part of Marvel's 2014 Inhumanity crossover, this second issue of The Awakening delivers a tense, atmospheric cover by Jorge Molina — a mysterious dark-clad figure stands at the center while crackling blue energy and a glowing energy weapon erupt around two opposing characters, all set against a haunting backdrop of luminous red orbs and alien-looking architecture. The charged standoff gives the impression of a world on the edge, perfectly fitting the series' themes of transformation and conflict. Matt Kindt's script, brought to life by Paul Davidson and colorist Jean-François Beaulieu, promises plenty of tension within.
