Dept. H: Murder Six Miles Deep continues with issue #2 from Dark Horse Originals, and the cover immediately pulls you into something unsettling and strange. Dominating the image is a hulking, armored deep-sea creature — part crustacean, part mechanical nightmare — its segmented orange carapace studded with clusters of glassy eyes and bearing a bold red insignia on its chest, looming out of the abyssal dark against a backdrop of swaying aquatic flora. Matt Kindt's watercolor-and-ink cover work gives the whole thing a handcrafted, almost field-journal quality that feels perfectly suited to a mystery unfolding at the ocean floor.
