This fourth issue of Matt Kindt and Sharlene Kindt's underwater murder mystery pulls you straight into the deep with a hauntingly beautiful cover: a lone diver glides through teal-blue water above an intricate, densely detailed seafloor, her dark hair fanning out behind her and red fins trailing as she moves with eerie calm. The watercolor washes and delicate ink work give the image a dreamlike quality that perfectly matches the series' tagline — "murder six miles deep." Dark Horse Originals continues to be a home for some genuinely distinctive storytelling in 2016, and this series is a strong reminder of why.
