Matt Kindt and Sharlene Kindt's deep-sea murder mystery continues with this striking issue, whose cover presents an unsettling mechanical spider-like creature — gold-bodied, multi-eyed, and spindly-legged — picking its way across jagged underwater terrain. The watercolor aesthetic gives the machine an eerie, almost organic quality, set against a blood-red cloud drifting above in the water. "Murder six miles deep" has rarely looked this hauntingly inventive.
