Apache Delivery Service #2 brings the tension of its Vietnam-era setting front and center, with a lone soldier raising a defiant fist beneath a massive helicopter marked with a skull-and-crossbones, as additional choppers swarm the muted green sky around him. Tyler Jenkins's stark, ink-washed cover work — colored by Hilary Jenkins — gives the scene a raw, almost woodcut energy that feels both gritty and atmospheric. Matt Kindt and the Jenkins team are crafting something that wears its pulpy military-adventure spirit proudly, and this second issue looks every bit as gripping as the first.
