Aric is on Planet Gorin, farming. Soldiers of Azure Nation march past. Aric and Schon discuss his time on "Urth". Aric is "drafted" into the Azure Army, to be used as an unarmed, disposable tool for the real soldiers. In spite of his position, he makes it through many obstacles to reach the target: the Cadmium Emperor's Palace. His achievement gets the attention of the General, who gives him a task: to infiltrate the Palace. The General tells him: if he can succeed this suicide mission, he will send Aric back to his farm. Aric summons his armor from its hiding place... "one last time"!
