About this Collection
This deluxe hardcover collects the opening arc of the 2014 Rai series, written by Matt Kindt with art by Clayton Crain. Set in the futuristic, AI-controlled nation of Japan in the year 4001, it follows the titular hero, a cyborg protector created by the benevolent AI Father, as he uncovers dark secrets about his origin and the true nature of his mission. The volume includes issues #1–4 of the series, along with a sketchbook section and bonus materials.
